The Saphenous Vein Trainer Clear Insert is designed to be used in our reusable Saphenous Vein Trainer base (Item 1041) for lifelike simulation of endoscopic, MIS, or open harvesting of the saphenous vein. The skin and fatty tissue are clear to allow for direct vessel visualization without an endoscope. This may be used in initial training sessions to introduce new users to the harvesting method. The replaceable clear insert has a 26" x 3" wide x 1" deep area of fatty tissue with embedded, branching vessel. Branches may be transected with a variety of instruments, including ultrasound scalpel. The insert is also available with an opaque skin (Item 1040).
