For wound closure training with robotic instrumentation.
The Robotic Skin Suturing Pod has two incisions, a straight line and a zigzag, and overall diameter of approximately 3.5 inches. The skin surface is backed with tissue-like foam, causing the incisions to gape and require approximation. Dexterity can be gained in suturing and knot tying skills. Though intended for robotic suturing practice when used in our Robotic Trainer (#4014), the Skin Suturing Pod can also be used as a hand-held model to practice manual suturing.
Our Robotic Trainer (#4014) is a complete system for introducing practitioners to the basic skills required for robotic or other MIS surgery. As part of this system, we provide individual skills pods for elementary robotic training.
