The Saphenous Vein Trainer Opaque Insert is a replaceable component designed for use with the Saphenous Vein Trainer base to simulate realistic saphenous vein harvesting procedures, both endoscopic and open. It features an opaque skin layer covering a section of fatty tissue with an embedded branching vessel, and an alternative version with a clear skin layer is also available.

The Saphenous Vein Trainer Opaque Insert is designed for use with the reusable Saphenous Vein Trainer base (#1041) to provide a realistic simulation of endoscopic, minimally invasive surgery (MIS), or open saphenous vein harvesting procedures.
This replaceable opaque skin layer covers a 26-inch-by-3-inch-by-1-inch section of fatty tissue. The embedded branching vessel can be transected using a range of instruments, including an ultrasound scalpel.
An alternative version of the insert is available with a clear skin layer (#1197).
