Description
Dupuytren’s Contracture is a slowly progressive connective tissue disorder that can impair patients’ ability to move their hands due to an excessive build-up of collagen. The treatment of Dupuytren’s Contracture with Xiapex requires precise placement of the needle for drug delivery into the correct tissue plane of the hand.
In addition to providing visual feedback through a series of cueing lights, the trainer provides haptic feedback both in the tissue, as felt with the needle tip, and with the syringe, which provides appropriate pressure to the plunger when injecting in the correct plane.
