Overview
The Chamberlain Group’s Suitcase Thorax Trainer is a compact, full sternotomy trainer designed with full-size anatomy, ideal for realistic cardiac training in a smaller format. This model preserves essential cardiac structures, including the pericardium, while reducing the overall size compared to traditional thoracic trainers. Featuring our normal heart with pericardium.
Our thorax trainer is designed for cardiothoracic residents and fellows. It enables surgical trainers to practice open and minimally invasive procedures in skills labs, workshops, and simulation environments that require repeatable, hands-on training in a lightweight format.
This trainer comes with our CABG Heart [#1253], tethered inferior vena cava (IVC) and left pulmonary veins allow the heart’s apex to be lifted, enabling convenient posterior heart access for advanced surgical training. The full sternotomy opening is approximately 5”x7” (13cm x 18cm).
