The Saphenous Vein Trainer Clear Insert is intended for use with the reusable Saphenous Vein Trainer base (#1041) to provide a realistic simulation of endoscopic, minimally invasive surgery (MIS), or open saphenous vein harvesting.
The transparent skin and fatty tissue enable direct visualization of the vessel without the need for an endoscope. This feature is particularly beneficial during initial training sessions to familiarize users with the harvesting technique.
The replaceable clear insert contains a 26-inch by 3-inch by 1-inch section of fatty tissue with an embedded, branching vessel. Vessel branches can be transected using various instruments, including an ultrasound scalpel.
An alternative version of the insert is available with an opaque skin (#1040).
