The Saphenous Vein Trainer comprises a reusable base and a replaceable training insert. The base and cover are angled to replicate the natural curvature of the knee. The skin-covered insert contains a 26-inch by 3-inch by 1-inch section of fatty tissue with an embedded, branching vessel. The vessel branches can be transected using various surgical instruments, including an ultrasound scalpel.
